March of the Penguins

This film is narrated by Morgan Freeman, and discusses the problems a group of Penguins goes through every winter in antarctica. The topics discussed are how the egg is transferred from the mother Penguin to the father Penguin while the mothers make there way enmasse to the ocean to eat, make their way back to the colony. By then, the chicks have hatched, but the baby penguins are too young to fend for themselves, yet. So the mother takes over while the fathers trek down to the ocean for their meal. By the time the fathers return, the chicks are almost grown, and winter is almost over; the ice has nearly all melted, at least the distance to be covered in order to reach the ocean is considerably less now. Then the young Penguins go to the ocean for their first swim and learn to find their own food.
